Thank you to the boy in my class who brought me this awesome "Whack and Unwrap" orange flavored chocolate. It tasted extra gross. But it's the thought that counts, right?
I should also mention, that said student brought me this "orange" for rolling his eyes at me the day before. When I threatened him with a phone call home, he came to school the next day bearing gifts. Oh the power of a phone call home!

THIS IS SO FUNNY. i haven't seen one of those oranges in FOREVER. and today i was just telling my grandfather how much i hated fruit flavored chocolate, and I told him about these oranges! :)
ReplyDeleteIck! My mom bought one of those oranges at a gift shop in Florida once, and it was dis-gus-ting!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I want my high-schoolers to do stuff like that! Too cute! Mine just greet my threats with another eye roll! When I carry out my threats, they move on to worse gestures!
ReplyDeletehaha, that is crazy! I think every teacher should save all the random gifts they get then we should have a contest as to who gets the oddest one!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen something like that!! I bet you have the funniest stories from school. My mom teaches Pre-K and her stories crack me up!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen or heard of these! lol
ReplyDeleteUgh! I hate chocolate oranges! They are gross!
ReplyDeleteHow ... kind of... sweet! :)
ReplyDeleteI love chocolate oranges!! You're all crazy! :)
ReplyDeleteYuck! My parents always bought these over the holidays. Everyone would gather around and share it, and I never understood why they liked them so much! Cute story though.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THOSE! My Christmas is not complete without one. Then, after Christmas I stock up on them when they go on sale after Christmas (because they are only seasonal...as far as I know). If I was a teacher and my kid gave me a chocolate orange I would so totally give him an "A" ;)
ReplyDeleteAwww, that's cute! I wish everytime I had to threaten going to someone's boss, they brought me chocolate instead!
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha love this!! I used to work with this old man who brought me these all of the time. I'm not really a huge chocolate person so I didn't even attempt to try it! The hubby said they are way gross!!
ReplyDeleteEven after tell this man (he was like grandpa age, he needed to retire!) that I was on a diet, etc. He still brought them!! Now I'm wondering if someone was giving them to him and he hated them as well.... hmmmm.... :)
I just started reading your blog. I'm a teacher too. I can't believe he brought you a present after getting in trouble. That's too funny!
ReplyDeleteYumm, I actually love those oranges! I think a few of my students owe me chocolate after today. :)
ReplyDeleteHow sweet!
ReplyDeleteI don't like those oranges either but it's the thought that counts!
