on a positive note...

Happy Happy Happy:

I have 5 boxes of Girl Scout cookies in my kitchen, with more on the way.

Field Trip to see the Virginia Symphony on Thursday. I really love this field trip.

Reading aloud to my students. We're currently enjoying a nonfiction book about the Holocaust (Hana's Suitcase), and they're more engaged than I've seen them all year. I love exposing my kids to things they've never learned about before.

My toenails which received a pedicure last week. A much needed pedicure after a very long day.

Apolo Ohno. I love this man.

Purchasing a ticket for Atlanta to go to this...http://www.bethmooreatlanta.com/

The chips from the Mexican restaurant last night. They were way better than normal.

Making plans with my mom for my spring break.

  1. The Holocaust book is a great idea. I think that's how I got hooked on history.

  2. Why have I not seen any cute little girl scouts selling me delicious cookies this year. That seems to be a very good perk about being a teacher!

And mexican food sounds so good, now I have a craving. I love chips and salsa!

  3. I definitely going to check out that book. My kids really were interested about the Holocaust when we talked about it briefly. They just can believe that people can be that mean. I can see the little motors moving in their heads already!

  4. A bunch of my students are going on a symphony trip tomorrow. I don't have to go, but a few of my classes are getting wiped out so I am very happy!

Love Apolo Ohno! What are we going to do without him on TV all the time once the Olympics are over?

  16. I understand Apolo Ohno is an attractive guy, and he's a great athlete, and NBC keeps hyping him as this wise-ass, unpredictable loose cannon (even though he's really not funny or outspoken). Fine. We have to have something to draw us in. And he's easy on the eyes for you ladies. Great. I get it.

But can somebody get him to shave that thing on his chin??
