What do you use Wednesday?

I'm curious friends...what household products do you loooooove? Hate? I am only so-so about the products I use in these categories. Anything I must start using? Feel free to just share about one if there's something you want to rave about.

What kind of laundry detergent do you use?

What kind of dish soap?

Kitchen cleaner?

Bathroom cleaner?

What do you use for dusting?

And because I'm nice, I have one recommendation for you all...I absolutely love this body wash from Trader Joe's. It's cheap and smells so good. Even on my grumpiest morning, this stuff makes me happy when I take a shower. (And that says A LOT because I am a big ol' grump in the morning!)

And great news! Even if you don't have a Trader Joe's, I see that you can buy it on Amazon! Here's a link. Now we can all smell like Tea Tree Tingle! It's more expensive on Amazon, but worth it for the smell!

  1. I use the same body wash and LOVE it, too! I also just bought their new face wash (in an orangeish flowery bottle) and have been telling everyone I know to get it! Too funny!

  2. Lemi Shine dishwasher soap because we have hard water. Mrs. Meyer's lemon verbana countertop cleaner. Tide sports detergent for our gym clothes.

  3. Hmmm...usually whatever is on sale plus a coupon! But, I do really like Lysol products, especially the dual action disinfecting wipes. The wipes have a scratchy surface on one side and a smooth surface on the other, which is great for scrubbing and might be useful for you in the classroom!

  4. I love Gain in Apple Tango Mango scent. I was concerned that they were going to stop making it so I stocked up. I have about 12 bottles in my landry room. I love the smell!

  5. I agree with Brenda on the Apple Mango Tango Gain! I use the "matching" fabric softener too!

Love, love, LOVE Mrs. Meyer's products - I use the dish soap and the hand soap in the Basil scent (which sounds odd but smells like HEAVEN!). I have the countertop spray as well but sometimes I just don't feel like it REALLY gets things clean... I love that it's all natural, but if I have some major kitchen grime, I need bigger guns! I like Fantastik All Purpose Cleaner. And for bathrooms (tubs, sinks, and even toilets - I hate toilet bowl cleaner!), I LOVE Scrubbing Bubbles Foam... I just bought a new one that sprays blue foam that then turns white once the "scrubbing action" has taken place!

Wow. I feel really nerdy about loving cleaning products.

  6. I will have to try that body wash...I love TJs!! We use TJs powder dishwasher detergent. The box isn't huge but it's lasted us about two months so far and we use our dishwasher often.

    As for your other questions:

What kind of laundry detergent do you use? I flip flop with this. A lot. Sometimes, Tide. Sometimes, Gain. Sometimes, All. Currently, I'm using Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day laundry detergent in Lavendar & in Lemon Verbena. I found it at Target on clearance for like $3.97/bottle. I need to go back and see if it's still available.

What kind of dish soap? Dawn. And, we also have a huge (ridiculously huge) bottle of some Costco brand dish soap. We're not going to run out any time soon. LOL

Kitchen cleaner? I usually use Method cleaners, but my mother got me about 50 bazillion bottles of some ecofriendly lemongrass stuff when Ukrop's closed.

    Bathroom cleaner? See above.

What do you use for dusting? Method Good Wood.

I also have a Shark Steam Mop for my floors and I love, love, LOVE that I don't have to use chemicals on the floors anymore.

  8. I just started using Tide with Febreze Sport for my laundry and it's really great. For dish detergent, I use anything that can also be used as an antibacterial hand soap, but most of the time it's Ajax. I use a lot of Scrubbing Bubbles and Comet for my kitchen and bathroom. I don't use a lot of things for dusting, but I use Pledge when I have to.

  9. Apparently I am also not very brand loyal but I love the Lysol Antibacterial Kitchen Spray, it's yellow and I keep it under the sink but I spray it on everything and then wipe it up with a paper towel.

I am also a big fan of using the Tilex daily shower spray. After one good clean you can spray this around the shower everyday when you get out and it keeps the shower really clean.

  10. I love swiffers for dusting and I use ALL ultra concentrated laundry detergent. I'm still trying to find a really good bathroom cleaner...

I also just kind of wish I had millions of dollars so I could pay someone to clean the house ;-)

  11. That body wash sounds great! Clorox Greenworks is my go-to cleaner for just about everything. Love it!

  12. Thanks for the tip about the tea tree tingle. I'm sad that we don't have a Trader Joe's in TX. I really like Method and Seventh Generation products. I still use some of the old standbys like Tide, Lysol, and Clorox, but I'm trying to use products that are less toxic. I also have some Shaklee products that are pretty good.

  13. I just fell in love with the Caldrea cleaning products from Target. I am totally loving the Herbs of Provence scent. It makes your kitchen smell of lavendar. I just did a little product review, so you can see more here.

I'll have to check out that body wash from Trader Joes. I never thought about them having personal care items there. I think I need to go there more often.

  15. Laundry detergent - Giant Tide from Costco

Dish soap - Giant Cascade from Costo

Kitchen cleaner - Martha Stewart "Green" all purpose cleaner

Bathroom cleaner - Same. And I have some toilet wand things from Costco. I also use a vinegar & water solution for the mirrors and around the toilet.

Dusting - I have this blue thing. I forget what it's call. I know that doesn't help. :)
