welcome september

Today marks the first day of September. SEPTEMBER! Fall is on its way. Summer heat is beginning to break, although Hurricane season is still in full effect (ahem, Earl...my possible soon to be destructive neighbor). And I am ready for a change.

I'm ready for cooler temperatures and more blankets on my bed at night.

I'm ready for new (and old!) students in fifth grade.

I'm ready to tackle my new grade level. This will be my fourth year or teaching and the third grade level that I've taught.

I'm ready to challenge myself in my new role at school.

I'm ready for weekend adventures with my husband and my dog.

I'm ready to drink apple cider under a blanket on my porch.

I'm ready for a change.

Nice to see you, September.

Anything you are ready for this month?

  11. I am ready for the Fall colors and smells! But I am really ready for the colder weather. To just be able to open the doors for a while and let some fresh air in! I almost got my Fall decorations out yesterday, but by the time I got into the attic, I was already pouring sweat, so I decided I would wait until the middle of September!
