Well, one of my sweetest students made me these plastic initials:
Yes, my initials are M.W. So much for my first name. It's just Mrs! Mrs W.
Is this not the sweetest most thoughtful gift? I keep it on my window sill in my classroom and it always makes me chuckle and reminds me why I love my job on the worst of days.
(Also, love the old school plastic bead things you make and melt with an iron. Anyone else love these as a child? I had no idea they were still a thing.)
That is cute! Yesterday I had a kiddo say, "Mrs Hall, do you have a first name AND a middle name? Like that is the coolest thing ever. HAHA!
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny! When they find out my name is Brittany they're usually in total shock. They always ask me at least 2 or 3 times if that is really it. Nope. I'm lying.

ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid I loved to play with those beads, but would never melt them. I would just create designs, then dump them and start over... hah! I had no idea those even still existed!
ReplyDeleteOMG I totally had those plasitic melty beads thing! I'd made a design and then my Mom would iron it (becuase, hello, irons are not safe for lil kids). I loved those! Stoked to see they are still around.
ReplyDeleteI worked at an after school program for about 8 years though HS and Collge, and we used those beads to entertain the kids for hours! I can't tell you how many I made!
