This video took about a million and one hours to upload, but finally, it's done! Please play along!

The instructions are to say these words:

What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?

What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?

What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket?
What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
What is the thing you use to change the TV channel?

umm... how cute are you??
ReplyDeleteI answered the rain questions and your going to die! My grandparents say "The devil is beating his wife" I don't know where that comes from but that's what I've heard all of my life.
Anyway, I LOVE the vlog!! :)
I love how you said "crown crown crown". ATTITUDE. I'm the same way. I don't think you sound like you have an accent, but you say a few things differently than me if that makes sense. I say "Ant" and "cray-on" and "law-yur". ha. You're adorable Rachel!
ReplyDeleteI'm still confused about that one as well!
ReplyDeleteI felt like an idiot when I answered that on mine :)
I think you are so cute and not at all how I thought you would sound:)
ReplyDeleteI loved your vlog! So glad you did one. You're so cute!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are adorable!!!! Loved this!! I don’t think you have a southern accent, but you do have an accent of your own if that makes sense :)
ReplyDeleteLove this! I'm going to try to do this tonight if I can :)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! I need to do this tonight when I get home. I was soo surprised how many people didn't know what a SUN SHOWER is. That's what I've always called them.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! You don't have much of a southern accent, but I'm guessing you'll pick up some Charlotte-isms before you know it. Loved this!
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute!!!
ReplyDeleteSO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteI call it a Monkey's Birthday!
Cute, cute, cute! This is so fun!
ReplyDeleteMy entire family always said when it rains and the sun is still out that means the "deving is beating his wife." It sounds crazy and I'm not sure where it comes from but that's what I grew up hearing!
ReplyDeleteOk so, I'm from TN and we answered all of the questions the same, but as far as pronunciation of the words we are completely different! I wouldn't say you have a southern accent! Very cute and I love the crayon or crown comment haha.
ReplyDeleteThis is so much fun!! I don't think you have too much of an accent...some words, but it's not strong.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you participated!! I added you to the linky!
ReplyDeleteThe rain/sun thing - someone said it's the devil spanking his wife?! Never heard that before!
These are always really interesting. I think the gym shoes question is misleading though because the other questions give a description of the thing, and this uses one of the terms to ask what you call it? Weird. I think they should add "what do you pay after eating at a restaurant?"- I've heard it called "the check" "the ticket" and "the bill" in various places, I wonder what other regions call it? I would also say "sun shower" for #10. I NEVER thought about "you guys" until you said it, but we totally say "hey you guys" let's do this or do that... LOL
ReplyDeleteI loved this. It was adorable. Also, I don't sense much of an accent (yay for you!)! I think "Wheel Barrow" would be a good one to toss out. I had never heard the rain question either.
ReplyDeleteCute! Since I (probably) have a major southern accent, I think you do have a more northern accent! Probably the "crayon, aunt, pecan" is the most different than me.
ReplyDeleteThe rain one is a heat shower! In the summer, sometimes it gets so, so insanely humid- it just pops up a little shower, but the sun is still shining all around. Maybe that's just a southern humidty thing? Hmmm...
You are so cute and no, I don't think you have an accent :) I love that you call your grandpa "Coach".
ReplyDeleteLove it! You have a twinge of a northern accent, I do think :) But you are still very Southern sounding!
ReplyDeleteHere is mine: http://alizadventures.blogspot.com/2011/09/liz-adventures-accent-vlog.html
That is exactly how I say crayon and it drives people CRAZY! So glad to know I'm not the only one! haha
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to hear how people sound! Super funny- until I started watching these, I had never heard of a roly-poly bug. I have always called them potato bugs (but I have no clue why). I don't think you have much of an accent, but you do say some words different than how I am used to hearing them. :)
ReplyDeleteYou say crayon so funny!!! But other than that, I wouldn't say you have much of an accent. But give it time girl.. they'll sneak some NC in on you! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the vlog! I think you have a little bit of an accent, but I'm from Colorado so I think almost everyone has an accent ;)
